Our Mission Is:
“To enhance, via the arts, the lives of people with disabilities by providing the means, materials and support necessary to pursue and fulfill individual potential.”

Founded:
The Brittany Maier and Friends Foundation was founded by Tammy Maier in honor of her daughter Brittany who is blind, autistic, mentally disabled, and yet is one of the most gifted savant pianists in the world. Tammy nourished her daughter's desire to become a stage performer and helped Brittany's dream become a reality. Through the process, Tammy learned that across the nation there were not established music schools for people with disabilities, prompting her to start The Brittany Maier and Friends Foundation, which serves to provide the desired music schools needed in the United States.

Our Beliefs Are:
- That each person with a disability should, with quality and equality, be given the opportunity to pursue their interest or gift in music and the arts and have available to them all the resources needed to grow and nurture that interest.
- That parents of children with disabilities should be able to easily locate and enroll their son or daughter in music instruction whenever it is in their interest for their child.

Goals of The Brittany Maier and Friends Foundation~

Goals of today:
Our vision is to provide the first full-scale Music and Arts Center of Instruction in America for people with disabilities.

We have begun that process by beginning a Pilot Program of Music Instruction on Long Island in a community where the largest concentration of people with disabilities in the state of New York exists, the local school district serving 180 students with Autism, and 1200 students with special needs.

How You Can Help:
We seek to acquire the location we've found in Dix Hills, NY - a Historic piece of property the size of a small campus, which has the capabilities to provide: a Music and Arts Center of Instruction, Performance and Recital Hall, Recording Studio, Career Consultation and Management, a Resource and Networking Center, Grounds for Community Involvement and even a Casual Performance Café - all of which serves the need and additionally provides an environment that invites the community to be a part of it. The Brittany Maier Music and Arts Center in Dix Hills, NY will set a bar in the United States, one that will remind us that people with special needs are deserving of more than just the minimum. Please join us on this endeavor to truly "rock" the nation!  To donate now,

Goals of Tomorrow:
To provide a Music and Arts Center for people with disabilities in every state across our nation, using the New York location as a model for each.
